Our Guidance Counseling Program

CELDI-Liberia offers a Guidance Counseling program for underprivileged youth from slum communities, adopting a holistic approach. This involves creating a safe, accessible space staffed by trained counselors who understand the unique challenges—such as trauma, financial instability, and lack of family support—that these youth face.

The program includes individual and group counseling sessions focused on peer pressure, conflict resolution, life skills training, and academic planning, while also providing career-readiness workshops and mentorship opportunities with professionals. Additionally, the program emphasizes outreach and family engagement to build trust and ensure guidance aligns with the youth's home environment, providing the tools and encouragement they need to pursue education, vocational training, or employment, helping to break cycles of poverty.
